Frequently asked questions

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Every plan starts with a free trial — you can place real orders, see them flow into your POS, and decide before you commit. A credit card is required to start so the trial converts seamlessly to your chosen plan if you keep going. You can cancel any time during the trial without being charged.

How is a "minute" counted?

A minute is voice time the AI agent actually spends on a call — from pickup to hangup. Failed calls (no answer, hang-up before greeting) don't count. Inbound informational calls ("what time do you close?") do count, but they're typically very short.

Do unused minutes roll over?

No — minutes reset at the start of each billing cycle. If you're consistently going over, upgrading to the next tier is usually cheaper than the overage rate.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. You can cancel from your portal billing page at any time. You keep access through the end of your current billing period. No long-term contracts on standard plans.

Do I need a new phone number?

We provision a new dedicated BiteBot phone number for your restaurant — porting an existing number isn't supported. Most restaurants either start advertising the new number directly, or set up call forwarding from their existing line so customers calling the original number still reach the AI agent. Either path means zero disruption to existing signage, Google listings, or menus.

What POS systems do you integrate with?

Square, Clover, and Toast natively. Other POS systems are supported via order export (orders land in your dashboard and a kitchen printer / display) — let us know your stack and we'll confirm fit.
